The Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2025 (SSFF & ASIA)

The Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2025 (SSFF & ASIA), Asia's largest international short film festival recognized by the Academy Awards, will be held at multiple venues in Tokyo and online venues from May 28 to June 11 (some online venues will start on April 24). 

According to the festival's official website, "While many of the submissions to this year's festival were themed around family ties and generation gaps in each region, half of the submissions in the international category were depictions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Trends in submitted works such as universal adolescence, the perspective of trans youth of Gen Z, and stories with dementia as a motif have also emerged."
