Tokyo Jazz 2017 featuring three groups from Israel 

Tokyo Jazz, which will celebrate its 16th anniversary in 2017, will move the venue from Marunouchi to Shibuya, aiming for a "town-wide" event just like a European jazz festival. It is not only a festival of jazz music but also an international cultural project that contributes to the enrichment and development of Japanese music scene by inviting big artists from Japan and overseas and up-and-coming artists. 

This time, as a part of event, the companies dealing Israeli related products, will collaborate with the festival.

 The performances at NHK Hall will be on-air later.

The Shai Maestro Trio started in 2011 with Jorge Roeder and Ziv Ravitz as members, led by Shai Maestro, has been establishing a special position in the jazz scene in the last 6 years. This time, the trio will feature a Chilean female singer Camila Meza as a guest singer.

Ravid Kahalani, a Yemeni origin, formed the band in 2010, in collaboration with Omer Avital, world renowned basist. Kahalani with his impressive and intense play style continues to work in a unique style that blends Yemenite, Jewish and African traditions.

Other members of the band are Itamar Volkov (tp), Roni Ivrin (percussion), Shanir Blumenkranz (base / oud) and Itamar Doari (percussion),

3. Max Brenner Acoustic live at Hiro-o Plaza

On September 1st, at the Max Brenner Hiro-o Plaza store, Yemen Blues’ vocalist Ravid Kahalani will perform an acoustic live. Yemen Blues is a mixture band combines jazz, funk, rock and dance music. Enjoy the collaboration of music and chocolate, which has something in common from Israel.
