MFA Scholarships for international students academic year 2026-2027

Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 “Israeli Government Scholarships for International Students.”

You may apply for the following programs:

A full academic year scholarship (8 months, from October to June)
Eligible programs: MA / PhD / Post-Doctorate / Overseas and International Programs / Special Programs
A 3-week summer Hebrew language program (Ulpan) scholarship

Full Academic Year (8-Month) Scholarship Includes

50% of tuition fees (up to a maximum of USD 6,000)
Monthly living allowance for one academic year (8 months)
Basic health insurance

Summer Language Course Scholarship Includes

Full tuition fees
Dormitory accommodation
3 weeks’ living allowance
Basic health insurance*

(Although the deadline listed on the website of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs is May 25, the deadline has been extended by one month exclusively for applicants from Japan.)

Notes

After submitting the application documents, applicants will participate in an online interview with a diplomatic officer from the Embassy.
(Tentative interview dates: June 29–30, 2026; exact times to be arranged individually.)
If some required documents cannot be prepared by the deadline, you may still apply, provided that you inform the Embassy in advance of the expected submission date.
