Roi Dayan won first place in “The 12th ARTE International Mandolin Festival & Competition”

Roy Dayan, an Israeli Mandolin player born in Be'er Sheva in 1997 and a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance has won first place of the ARTE Mandolin Festival & Competition 2022 in Tokyo, Japan.

Dayan started his musical education at the age of 9 and at the age of 18 he won his first competition.

The ARTE Mandolin Festival & Competition is one of the most prestigious in the world for plucked strings.

The Israeli Embassy in Tokyo assisted the winner as a gift for the 70 years anniversary of diplomatic relations between Israel and Japan.
